The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking launched today its 5th annual call for proposals

€ 150 million's worth have been allocated for the support of fuel cells and hydrogen technologies through research and demonstration projects, with € 77, 5 million from the European Commission matched by in-kind contributions from industry and research organisations. The 2012 call covers 31 topics divided into 5 application areas: transportation and refuelling infrastructure; hydrogen production and distribution; stationary power generation, early markets and cross-cutting issues.

The FCH JU organised its 4th Stakeholders’ General Assembly, in Brussels on 22 and 23 November 2011. The first day of the 2011 Stakeholders’ General Assembly was devoted to a Programme Review. The progress of the portfolio of projects- close to 60 projects dedicated to fuel cells and hydrogen have been assessed in relation to the targets fixed in the multi-annual and annual strategic agenda as well as with reference to international developments in the field. All presentations of the different projects are available online.

The FCH JU launched a call for tenders for studies on the commercialisation of FCH technologies

The FCH JU launched an open procedure for concluding multiple framework contracts for conducting studies on the commercialisation of fuel cells and hydrogen technologies and competing technologies. Applicants are invited to submit simultaneously a tender for the framework contract and for the first study on buses. The maximum overall budget for the whole duration of the framework contracts (2012-2016) is € 5 million. The deadline to submit an offer is 2 December 2011.

The European Commission is organising an Information Day to present DG Research and Technological Development and DG Energy' calls 2012 which will be launched end of July 2011. In that context, the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking is also presenting its current call 2011 (to be closed on 18 August 2011).

The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking opens a Traineeship Programme

14/06/2011 -  The FCH JU has a traineeship programme. The programme gives trainees an understanding of the JU and its role within the activities of the European Union, enables them to acquire practical knowledge of the FCH JU and its regulatory framework and to obtain professional experience in the course of their work.
