DEMOSOFC project winner of “Innovation 2016- SMAU Torino" prize
The FCH JU project DEMOSOFC received the SMAU prize “Innovation 2016- SMAU Torino”, rewarding its innovation contents in the field of renewable energy and circular economy.

Born in 1964,SMAU has been a benchmark of innovation for companies and public administrations for over 50 years. Since 2008 SMAU organizes a series of local events throughout Italy’s main regions to promote a culture of innovation among businesses and local organizations, a series which become international in 2015 with a Berlin edition.
As awarded project, a research representative, in the person of Ing. Andrea Lanzini has been invited to take part to the SMAU Live Show, a conference focusing on R&D for industrial innovation on 30 June.

DEMOSOFC is an FCH JU project devoted to the design and installation of an SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) plant that will generate around 175 kW electric. The SOFC plant will be installed in the SMAT Collegno WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant), in the Turin area, and will guarantee the supply of around 30% of the site electrical consumption, and almost 100% of the thermal requirement.
