In preparation of Horizon 2020, the new multiannual framework programme for research and innovation, a public consultation has been launched by the European Commission on 12 July 2012 to collect the views of the stakeholders and the wider public on the fuel cells and hydrogen sector, on research & innovation in this field in Europe, and on the possible continuation of the FCH JU. The consultation is open until 4 October 2012.

At the occasion of the European Sustainable Energy Week and the Danish presidency of the European Union, the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking is organising an Exhibition in the European Parliament, hosted by Danish MEP Morten Messerschmidt.

12 May - The FCH JU is taking part in the Open day of the EU institutions and is present on 12 May in the Berlaymont Building of the European Commission, from 10 am till 18 pm.
It will also display a fuel cell and hydrogen car, to show the technology and its promises.

The Fuel cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking took part as exhibitor, for the first time, at the Hannover Messe from 23 to 27 April 2012, as part of the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells, part of the Energy trade fair.
