RET, the public transport company of the metropolitan region of Rotterdam (Netherlands), has signed a contract with the Belgian bus manufacturer Van Hool for the supply of two latest generation fuel cell electric buses. In total RET has a 250 bus fleet of which six are electric buses. On January 21st the eighth hydrogen refueling station opened in Denmark, Aarhus. On the same day ten hydrogen cars were handed over to the municipality of Aarhus. The municipality chose two Toyota Mirai and eight Hyundai ix35 vehicles. Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark, is one out of many ‘green’ municipalities in Denmark who have invested in hydrogen cars. Philippe Vannson was appointed by the FCH 2 JU Governing Board on 18 November 2015 as Acting Executive Director of the FCH 2 JU as from 01 January 2016. On the 17,18 and 19 November 2015, the FCH JU held its annual Programme Review Days and Stakeholder Forum in the Charlemagne building, Brussels.
