myCHP campaign: ene.field project highlighed by the CHP sector as " newest CHP at home"

Cogeneration or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is the most efficient way to deliver heating, cooling and electricity. It is being gradually chosen by citizens to cover different scale of heat and power needs.

The FCH JU supported project ene.field will deploy up to 1,000 residential fuel cell Combined Heat and Power (micro-CHP) installations, across 12 key Member States. It represents a step change in the volume of fuel cell micro-CHP (micro FC-CHP) deployment in Europe and a meaningful step towards commercialisation of the technology.

While installing a CHP unit remains an efficient option to reducing energy bill and improving carbon footprint, the new My CHP campaign showcases real-life experiences of how cogeneration serves the heat and power needs of businesses and home-owners all over Europe.

Throughout this new campaign the whole cogeneration sector welcomes the "ene.field" project as the “newest CHP at home". The campaign will support "ene.field" and COGEN Europe’s advocacy work towards the EU institutions and other Brussels stakeholders, while also helping to raise awareness of CHP among the wider public.

The stories are presented as short case studies featuring individuals using CHP as part of their everyday experience.
