FCHgo Award: "World of the future: the best FCH application"
How will hydrogen transform the future of mobility and energy? What are its potential new applications?
The international FCHgo Award challenges pupils to imagine innovative applications of FCH technology that will transform our daily-lives in the future. The theme of the contest is ‘World of the future: the best FCH application’.
Teams of pupils are invited to submit a project – a movie, photo story, collage, model – or any other creative product that follows this theme. The project should focus on future application(s) of FCH technology and is the result of teamwork. Teachers, parents and industry stakeholders are encouraged to support pupils’ applications.
The aims of the competition are:
- Raise awareness and interest in FCH technologies among teachers, school children and their families
- Make pupils more aware of technological opportunities, so they can accept and promote them and provide inspiration for the application of FCH technologies
- Strengthen local networks in order to increase public awareness and acceptance across Europe about FCH technologies and their significant contribution to the achievement of European energy targets.
The competition is launched by FCHgo, which stands for Fuel Cells Hydrogen educational model for schools, a project funded by the The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking. The goal of FCHgo is to strengthen public acceptance and awareness of fuel cell hydrogen technologies (FCH-Ts) by educating pupils of all education levels, from primary to secondary school. The project was launched in January 2019 and will be carried out through to the end of 2020.
The International Award is now open for submissions. The deadline for submitting works to the contest is 31 July 2020.
