The FCH JU exhibited at the Hannover Messe 2012

The Fuel cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking took part as exhibitor, for the first time, at the Hannover Messe from 23 to 27 April 2012, as part of the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells, part of the Energy trade fair.
This year, 5.000 exhibitors from 69 nations participated at Hannover Messe 2012, with 1.100 exhibitors especially for the Energy trade fair. 130 exhibitors from 20 countries participated at the Group Exhibit Hydrogen & Fuel cells, with 5.300 square meters (excluding the Drive n'Ride area outside of the hall). The Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells is Europe's biggest one-stop-shop exhibition for cutting edge technology: stationary, mobile and portable/micro fuel cell systems, hydrogen production, transport and infrastructure, catalysts, testing, components and more.
190.000 visitors were registered in 2012 to Hannover Messe.
Already during the trade fair 50 exhibitors have committed to participate in 2013. Here you can see the exhibitor list for 2013.
Visits from high-ranking politicians emphasized the international significance of the Group Exhibit. The EU Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard, and the EU Commissioner for Energy, Günther Oettinger, showed great interest in the exhibits. The Minister of Science and Technology of P.R. China, Wan Gang, spent over two hours talking to the participants of the Group Exhibit.
Highlights this year included:
• Hydrogen generation and refuelling of hydrogen vehicles on the exhibition grounds
• Hydrogen generation as a way to store energy
• Stationary fuel cells for homes
• Fuel cells used in aviation
