Customers like the idea of ene.field home energy solutions
The FCH JU funded project ene.field has achieved a milestone. One of the preliminary results of Europe’s largest fuel cell micro-CHP deployment shows that the idea of a home energy solution providing both heat and power appeals to over three quarters of the households taking part in the ene.field project, as presented at the “Fuel cells for stationary power applications conference“ in London on 9th February.
The ene.field project aims at using modern fuel cell technology to produce heat and electricity in 1,000 households in eight countries, thus empowering them in their electricity and heat choices along with carrying out analysis on a range of market, policy and performance questions. Even though the main customer findings, based on participating customer questionnaires, will be published at the end of 2016, the preliminary data is becoming available.
