The CertifHy project 2 has nearly finalized designing the first EU-wide Guarantees of Origin (GO) for Green and Low Carbon Hydrogen, including defining the scheme’s governance, as well as its processes and procedures for the entire GO life cycle: from auditing hydrogen production plants, certification of Green or Low Carbon Hydrogen production batches, through issuing, trading and “usage” of GOs.

The FCH JU has commissioned a study to solve some of the issues related to metering in hydrogen refilling stations (HRS). This study is carried out by a consortium led by Air Liquide, and is planned to finish towards the end of March.
