workshop on "The gaps, perspectives and barriers in Regulations, Codes and Standards for the market deployment of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies

The workshop organised by Fuel Cell Europe will debate about the role of Regulation, Codes and Standards (RCS) for the deployment of fuel cell technologies, with a particular focus on the RCS development process and the impacts they have on the industry. The needs of the industry in terms of RCS for different applications and market areas will be debated. Experts’ insights will be shared on the topics triggering debates on the gaps, perspectives and barriers of RCS for the fuel cells and hydrogen commercialisation.

 Programme

Speakers and organisations confirmed for this workshop are:

  • Dr Marc Steen, Head of Unit Cleaner Energy of the Joint Research Center, European Commission (Institute for Energy) will make a double presentation during the workshop on the RCS landscape and the EU approach for fuel cell and hydrogen technologies, along with a talk on the interaction between regulatory bodies and standardization organizations.
  • John Ketchell, Director Innovation at CEN-CENELEC, will be talking on the needs and roles of RCS for innovative technologies.
  • Intelligent Energywill share their insights on the recent Whole Type Vehicle Approval obtained for their FC Suzuki Burgman scooter.
