Virtual event: Circular economy: producing zero-emission energy from waste
The concept of circular economy has gained significant prominence, becoming more widespread during the past decade. Taking into account the whole product life-cycle, circular economy offers an alternative model that promotes reuse, repair, refurbishment and recycling, recuperating rare raw materials and transforming waste into a resource.
DEMOSOFC will be the protagonist of an online session hosted by the FORUM PA 2020: Circular economy: producing zero-emission energy from waste. The session is scheduled to take place on 7 July, 9:30 to 10:30 and will explore the following topics:
- the incentive policies for developing a national industrial system based on circular economy
- the tools and opportunities to replicate successful experiences at European level
- action steps necessary for the creation of an industrial chain based on circular economy and involved partnerships - universities, research, industrial and market operators
- technology, efficiency and performance achieved after four years of operation
DEMOSOFC, a project funded by Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and coordinated by Politechnyc University of Turin, built the largest biogas-fed fuel cell plant in Europe. The system located in Collegno allows to produce energy with high efficiency and zero-emissions.
