Fuel cell buses workshop: Clearing the way for zero emission transport

As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the FCH JU will moderate the workshop Fuel Cell Buses: Clearing the Way for Zero Emission Transport. Join us on 8 October 2019 in Brussels to find out about exciting developments in the fuel cell bus sector. Fuel cell buses are a key zero emission transport solution which help tackle climate change and clean cities' air.

The workshop will have speakers with firsthand experience discussing why they have invested in this technology, their first lessons and best practices as well as the next steps of deployment. The FCH JU has funded a number of fuel cell bus projects, deploying over 300 buses in 22 cities across Europe, including projects JIVE and MEHRLIN.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The workshop is under the theme 'A greener Europe'.
